Tango Argentino

You guys all probably remember from older posts that I started to dance Tango Argentino about 3 months ago...well it´s summer in Berlin and there is seriously nothing nicer then having the opportunity to dance open air at the Strandbar Nr.1 in Mitte. The music is great (always a mix of original tango and nuevo tango) and the whole atmosphere is just incredible. I can only advise any of you who are able to dance to go there at some point.
I´ve actually become such a tango junkie lately that I have sort of neglected everything else, including my blog, and I am very sorry about that.

My Fashion Week Outfits

In my opinion one of the funnest things you get to do during fashion week is to choose exciting outfits which you might not wear on a "normal" day where you have to go to university or just take a quick walk through the city. No, lets just say how it is: Fashion week is all about "being seen" and hoping that as many people as possible take pictures of you, so that you might have the chance to find youself in a few magazines later on.
For the choice of my outfits I tried to stay true to myself, meaning that I really chose pieces which I also like to wear on any kind of day (ok, maybe not in these combinations, but I think that you guys all know what I am trying to get at). I tried to choose fun and colorful outfits which are not only exciting to look at, but also comfortable to wear.

The last day of the Berlin Fashion Week has come to an end and with it four wonderful days full of interesting encounters, amazing shows and exciting parties.
The last three collections which I saw today were all created by young turkish designers (Ece Gözen, Nazli Bozdag and Nevra Karaca No.7). I have to say that until then I had never heard of a big turkish lable and had never seen a show by a turkish designer, so I was very interested to see what they would be like.
The designs ranged from sporty but feminine and chic pieces all the way to leather coats with an asian touch.
In the end my expectations were definitely fulfilled and I am already looking forward to the next show by a turkish designer.

Fashion Week Day 4

And also on the last day of the Berlin Fashion Week I would like to share a few street-style outfits with you.

Dawid Tomaszewski Show

Today Dawid Tomaszewski enchanted the audience with his feminine, elfish creations and extravagant braided hair-dos. Also not forgetting the ever present sunglasses which gave every outfit a mystical air.
What a great show!

Fashion Week Day 3

DfT hosted by Stella Mc Cartney

Today I had the amazing opportunity to attend the Designer for Tomorrow Award 2013 which was hosted by Stella Mc Cartney! The objective of this award is to honor new, young and talented designers and the winner receives his or her own fashion show at the next Mercedes-Benz Fahion Week along with a couple of other things. This year the five finalists came from Germany, the UK, Rumania and Taiwan.
In the end the winner turned out to be Ioana Ciolacu Miron from Rumania with her collection "Paradox".
The collection was based on opposits/contrasts, such as "feminine but strong", and included alot of fluent and transparent fabrics,  which did not only end up convincing the jury but also the audience. Congratulations Ioana!
Oh and by the way, I am very sorry that I did not get a chance to take a better picture of Stella Mc Cartney, but at least you can still see her from the side...

Fashion Week Day 2

Another amazing day has come to an end and once again there are a couple of impressions which I would like to share with you. Starting from an interview which I gave for swiss tv in which I got to present my blog and talk a little about myself, all the way to the amazing Designer for Tomorrow Award.

Marc Stone

Today I had the chance to attend the "Marc Stone" fashion show at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
Although I usually tend to appreciate female fashion a bit more then male fashion, I have to say that it was a very pleasant show to attend. Strait cuts in rather earthy colors and leather sandals combined to create casual and stylish oufits which can be worn at any time of the day. Not forgetting to mention the also rather prominent sunglasses and backpacks which completed the looks.

Birthday Girl!

Today is my 19th birthday and I am enjoying every minute of it!
In addition to being able to sleep in, I get to eat a ton of unhealthy cakes and snacks and will enjoy a little birthday party this evening.
Although the wind still is a little chilly I decided to wear an olive green maxi-dress, my favorite leather jacket and lemon green wedges. Not to forget the obligatory red lipstick.

Those cozy days

First avole I need to apologize to all of you for not having posted anything in incredible two weeks!
Lately there has been su much going on including an incredible amount of studying for university and pursuing my new hobby "argentinian Tango" for which I attend dance classes at least twice a week. I have to say that this is really one of the best decisions that I could have made because it just takes my mind of everything and even turns out to be quiet of a workout sometimes. But I bet that the most of you already know that :)
But lets come to my outfit. On days where I need to stay at home due to work, bad weather or studying I try to opt for comfortable outfits which make me feel warm and  cozy all day long. This usually includes a comfortable pair of skinny jeans and a wide sweater which I like to combine with a more exciting pair of flat shoes and one or two minimalistic pieces of jewelry.

The orange pants

Today I decided to shoot my super wide orange pants which my mom was so nice to make for me last week. And since the weather was not the best, we quickly changed plans and ended up shooting in a staircase.
I really enjoyed being able to combine these pants to an exciting print-top which makes this already pretty extravagant outfit even a hint more unique.
Hair wise I decided to opt for a wet-hair look and kept my make up very natural apart from my lips which are a bright purple.

Plain and White

For this outfit I decided to combine white with...white! I actually never liked the color white that much because it always makes me look rather pale, but since the day that I bought these amazing shorts from the new Zara collection, I could not wait to combine them to my white blazer and a plain white shirt. To add a hint of color I chose to wear my corral red Buffalo heals. Definately one of my favorite summer outfits this season, which will look even a hint better when my skin is tanned.

Mix and Match

I just love those first real spring days when you wake up, the sun is shining through your window, the birds are singing and everything around you is in bloom.
Those kinds of days I usually can´t decide on what colorful piece I want to wear, so I just mixed and matched as many colours as I could today. I hope that you all like the result.

Designer Casting #2

I´m sorry that I have not posted anything for the last past days, but there was so much to do and time just seems to fly by.
Yesterday night I had the opportunity to go to a designer casting here in Berlin, where I was able to see excerpts of 10 different collections. Present was not only the anticipated audience, but also a jury which included a berliner designer and an employee of the italian Vogue. Their job was to choose the two best collections which would win their own fashion show in the berlin Showroom during this summers Fashion Week.
I must say, that I was not impressed by quiet a few of the collections. Although I did like a few and admire all these creative heads behind the labels I think that every collection needs something "unique". In other words, something special that fascinates the audience in such a way that it stays in their memories. Sadely this special touch of creativity was not found in quiet a few of the collections, which could especially be seen in the jurys faces.
Apart from this I really enjoyed the evening in this very unique location.

Black Lace

There are probably not many other accesoires or garments that make a woman look so sexy or more mysterious than black lace.
Weather it is a whole outfit which is ornated with this beautiful material, or simply a veil over the womans face, it gives the wearer a specific grace which is undescribable.

The trench

I decided to dedicate this post to one of the best coats a woman can possess: The trenchcoat. Especially in the month of April when the weather still tends to change alot it is always a good choice to wear with almost any kind of outfit.

A hint of summer

What a beautiful day! 25 degrees, blue sky and lots and lots of sun. Perfect conditions to wear my beloved mint colored plissé pants.

Not only a pair of jeans

Do you guys know the comfortable feeling that you get from slipping into your favorite pair of jeans? Although it might not be the newest anymore, you have worn it a million times and would never think of giving it away or, heaven forbid, even through it away.
My favorite pair has kept me company since 8th grade and helps me remember the "good old times". Over the years of wearing it, it started to feel like a second skin, is incredibly comfortable and is definately one of my favorite (if not my favorite) piece in my wardrobe. Although it started to show the signs of it´s age I decided to combine it with a more suffisticated white blazer (which is always a good choice in summer) and some high heel booties.
